Jamie Dean

3D Artist

bio

I have experience in most areas of computer graphics: modeling, texturing, character rigging and animation. I hold professional level certification in Autodesk 3ds max and am proficient with most other software commonly used in the video game and animation industries.

I currently work as a game artist. During the past few years I have worked as an author and content developer of publications for the 3d animation and independent game development communities. Previously, I taught game design classes at the University of Wisconsin-Stout and a wide range of art and design classes at The Art Institutes International Minnesota and Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Prior to teaching, I worked as a theatrical scenic artist at the Guthrie Theater and exhibited internationally as a fine artist. In 2005 I received a Master of Fine Art degree in International Practice at Kent Institute of Art and Design.

My work has encompassed the figurative and stylized representation of the human figure and its environment. I have a good understanding of light, form and color and am eager to apply my traditional and digital art skills to future collaborative projects.
